I’m an artist and maker.

Drawing is the driving force behind all of my creative work and I use it as a thinking and figuring-out process as much as a finished outcome. My drawing and painting practice is intuitive, abstract and symbolic and I’m fascinated by scale, illusion and trompe l’œil. I attempt to translate this into my design projects and have established a garment painting practice that is inspired by mural techniques. Most recently my work has included making scale models to consider my designs in different contexts, including dream and illusionary spaces.

Much of my work is youth-focussed and I’m an experienced tutor and mentor. I teach and design programmes of study, residencies and workshops and provide live illustration for cultural and third sector organisations.

Recent collaborations with other makers include chocolate eggs for ARD Bakery, hand-painted garments for Fanfare Label and knitwear with designer Giannina Capitani.
